I'd definitely recommend fishing out of Sierpe - it's totally different that fishing out of a large marina... Super cool experience. You get to see the Sierpe River and experience great fishing conditions in a very nice area of Costa Rica.

There's mahi to be had at this time of the year, though they tend to be on the smaller size. You can go chase yellow-tail, but it might be too far offshore for a half-day trip, so if yellow-tail is your target I'd go for a full-day trip. Bring lots of sunscreen and sun protection (long sleeve shirt, hat, sunglasses)

Great time with Capt Jeff and crew. Jeff is from the states obviously no language barrier, Jeffโs mate spoke good English as well. They both are top notch! Very knowledgeable and highly skilled. We had a great experience on our four-hour trip. The owner (Gary) was very informative and professional. The boat and equipment were all in good condition.
Not much action on the day we went but I was able to catch a pretty hefty amber jack. I definitely will be using them again.

We had a great day on the water! The crew is amazing! I wanted to do slow jigging and the captain made his best to bring me to some good spots and the fish were there! We caught some nice groupers and mackerel tuna They cleaned all the fish and gave us the filet well packed and also prepared some fresh sashimi on the way back!

Been to many Costa Rica fishing trips. Many boats many captains. This one is top by far. We got there late and weather was bad. Told the captain what me and may daughters wanted to catch and boom. We will be eating tuna and mahi for weeks. The crew was amazing. The service was great and they know how to find the fish. Was amazing to see them work as a team. Not all crews do that. Super highly recommend

The trip was great overall - Captain Gabriel and Douglas were knowledgeable and helpful. It was my first time fishing and Douglas explained how to do it correctly and they both helped my boyfriend catch a Roosterfish! Although it was stormy, we tried it and did relatively well all things considered. Would recommend again!

Sierpe-Fishing was an awesome fishing charter. Going into the ocean from the river was a unique experience. We caught 5 tunaโs, 2 wahooโs, and 1 barracuda. Crew tried hard all day to find what I was looking for. Bad conditions got in the way but still ended up with a great catch of Grouper, Snapper, and Mackerel Tuna. A great day on the water with a very friendly and hard working crew. Thanks a bunch!

Great time with Capt Jeff and crew. Jeff is from the states obviously no language barrier, Jeffโs mate spoke good English as well. They both are top notch! Very knowledgeable and highly skilled. They provided food and drinks just step on and go fishing. I have fished all over the world . I highly recommend!

We had a great experience on our four-hour trip. The owner (Gary) was very informative and professional. The boat and equipment were all in good condition.
Not much action on the day we went but I was able to catch a pretty hefty amber jack. I definitely will be using them again.

We had a great day on the water! The crew is amazing! I wanted to do slow jigging and the captain made his best to bring me to some good spots and the fish were there! We caught some nice groupers and mackerel tuna They cleaned all the fish and gave us the filet well packed and also prepared some fresh sashimi on the way back!

Been to many Costa Rica fishing trips. Many boats many captains. This one is top by far. We got there late and weather was bad. Told the captain what me and may daughters wanted to catch and boom. We will be eating tuna and mahi for weeks. The crew was amazing. The service was great and they know how to find the fish. Was amazing to see them work as a team. Not all crews do that. Super highly recommend

One of the best fishing trips I have been on. The team was phenomenal. We caught all kinds of different fish. Would highly recommend these guys, they know what they are doing. Iโve been on 20ish fishing trips similar to this, top 3 for sure.

The trip was great overall - Captain Gabriel and Douglas were knowledgeable and helpful. It was my first time fishing and Douglas explained how to do it correctly and they both helped my boyfriend catch a Roosterfish! Although it was stormy, we tried it and did relatively well all things considered. Would recommend again!

Great trip with capt pedro and capt Andy. Mates Eddie and Jose were great also. They were very attentive and polite. They really know how to find fish. We finally had to release som tuna because we had so much!

Fishing with Capt. Luis and crew mate was excellent. Even in this low season, good varied catch, and was lucky to also see and get close to migrating Humpbacks. Could not have asked for more. Luxurious? No. Great fishing and great, knowledgeable helpful crew? Yup.

Captain Jose is a great host and very knowledgeable fisherman, heโs goes out his way to make sure everyone enjoys the trip. He put on the biggest Mahi Iโve ever caught, even though the fish was slow this time of year we had a great time and experience, canโt wait to come back during the summer months and try again.

Captain Pedro and his amazing team worked hard and fished hard all day to make our experience the best it could be. I consider myself an experienced angler and learned new techniques. The Captain Andy crew David and Christian were so much fun to fish with. I highly recommend them and will be fishing with them again when I come back in January

Sierpe-Fishing was an awesome fishing charter. Going into the ocean from the river was a unique experience. We caught 5 tunaโs, 2 wahooโs, and 1 barracuda. We also got to see several whales while fishing around Cano Island. Thank you Pablo for the great experience. Would definitely recommend this charter..

Great trip!! Beautiful blue water and scenery! Captain Jose was extremely dialed in and very skilled. Equipment was great. Caught three nice sized Mahi and three triple tail which ended up making a delicious fish tacos. Highly recommend

Amazing trip with all 4 of us catching. Whole crew was incredibly nice, helpful, and Pedro was in contact with us before we even arrived to CR, asking what fish we wanted and all the details of the trip. They keep the boat very clean and organized at all times. Everything they do is very much all about what you want to do. Will definitely book with them again in our future of coming back to CR!!!
