They're laying out there in large schools, waiting for the water to get colder so that they can move up the rivers & creeks to spawn. As it was stated to me, they're not feeding. You have to piss them off with shiny objects that will make them attack whatever you're using. It's a totally different style of fishing for me, but it's really cool.

I recommend fishing for chinook(king) salmon at this time of year at about 70 to 90 feet. Because of their size they are a challenge to land, but worth every minute of the fight. Great eating after they are cleaned and fileted. Bring a camera and take alot of pictures.

The fishing charter experience with Captain Rick was by far the best fishing experience I have ever had. The captain and boat crew were friendly, respectful and easy to get along with. The fish were biting all day during our full day charter. All equipment was well maintained and clean. A perfect fishing experience especially for beginners.

We had an excellent time out fishing with Captain Lou. He was really helpful and his boat was great. We were catching fish the whole timeโฆ caught enough fluke and porgies to make a delicious dinner!

Put together a last minute salmon trip with 3 other guys. We could NOT have found a better charter. Also, the cabin they had across the street from the dock was fantastic! Fun day and put away a 25lb. King Salmon. If you run out of Sodus Point, Captain Darrin is the charter captain. The boat is top shelf, too
