Freshwater fishing is the captain’s specialty and he’s eager to use his many years of experience to show you all the sweet spots, land a great catch, and have lots of fun. The boat you’ll be using is a 13’ anglers boat that accommodates 1 person. It’s powered by a 60 HP Honda engine and features an ice-box for storing drinks. Keep in mind that, while on board, no alcohol will be allowed.

You and the captain will be targeting Catfish and Silver Perch, using light tackle to attract these lovely species. The regulations require that all the fish caught has to be returned back to the river.

You’ll need to bring your own fishing gear, so make sure to pack rods, reels, and terminal tackle before you come aboard. Lures, however, are provided by Captain John. The trip price will also include delicious lunch and drinks for your pleasure.

Capt. John Ang is originally from Singapore and has been living in Thailand for the past 25 years. He and his crew are stationed and operating out of Bangkok. Fishing has always been the captain's passion and he loves meeting anglers from all over the world. He specializes in freshwater fishing in Thailand and loves to introduce visiting anglers to native Thai fish such as Giant Snakehead, Featherback, Giant Mekong Catfish, and Giant Siamese Carp. Currently, Captain John is the IGFA world record holder for Giant Snakehead, which weighed 26 Ibs.
