Excellent experience on the Ursula IV, May 15, 2023.  Communication with Olter was clear and exact. The crew was First Class! Truly lived up to their reputation. What more can I say. They took the lead with many other boats trying to follow. We caught Snapper (lady fish), Tuna, Grouper, Bonita. All in all a great outing. Highly recommend.
Only negative this day but didn’t involve Captain Olter and crew was taking a portion of the catch to near by restaurant Captain Jack’s for a meal preparation. Our impression, much of what was brought never made it to our table, and for a hefty price considering having supplied the entree.

What a fishing trip indeed! We got into some nice Mahai Mahi! Once we had had our fill of Mahi Mahi, we went back to trying to get a Marlin.  We were fortunate enough to hook up with a nice Marlin. The fight was good and the crew amazing. The Captain was skillful making sure the boat and the fisherman were working together to land the fish. What a great trip!

Great captain and first mate. We booked a full day trip for 6 people. Everyone was very accommodating and nice. I brought my 90 year old mom, 9 year old daughter, wife and 4 year old daughter with me. We had to cut the trip short because my wife got seasick. Everyone on the boat still caught a fish. We also went to the arch and took some pictures before we headed back to the dock. We fed the pelicans the bait fish we had left. I will definitely book with them again when I come back to Cabo.

Trip was good, almost a bust as the Marlin weren’t biting but right near the end of the day, we hooked and and hour and 15 minutes later landed a great stripped Marlin. Capt and his mates did an excellent job of assisting and doing everything they could to make it happen. Great Charter. I would use again for sure.

(Traveller advice, be prepared to fork out some money if you’re going to get your fish filleted and another chunk to have it cooked. Can make for some pricy fish so come prepared.)

Been coming to Cabo since 2010.  This is the best fishing experience by far.
We caught one Dorado in first three hours. Captain then gave us the option, keep trolling for the elusive big one or try fishing on the bottom for fish.  We elected to try our luck at 300 feet.  Wow, we caught 20 fish in a half hour.  What a wonderful experience.
Then we resumed trolling.  A big one did appear and hit on the bait (there were tooth marks on the bait fish to prove it). The captain and mate literally jumped into action with two extra rods prepared in case of this event to go with the seven lines already in the water.  We didn’t get the big one but not for lack of effort.
Captain radioed ahead to have a person waiting to take our catch to be cleaned.  We cleaned 14 fish.  In addition to Mahi Mahi, we had grouper and white fish as well as rock fish for cerviche to take to Pochos on the Marina for three nights of dinner for entire party.
This was our first time to charter Ursula Sport Fishing.  Blew all others out of the water.  Will book them on our two trips we have planned to Cabo in 2024.
