My son, daughter and I had a great time fishing.  We didn’t catch many fish, and that was most likely due to the full moon the night before and the fish eating their hearts out because they could see their bait, but we had a good time.  When my daughter became ill on the boat, and I asked if we could return to shore an hour early, Captain LaBauve did not hesitate in agreeing that we should go back.  He had our best interests at heart and taught us a lot about fishing.  Will definitely be back to fish with him in the near future.

Booked a half day nearshore charter with Captain Shannon and it did not disappoint. Despite it being a windy day, Captain Shannon was able to get us on some monsters. He is very knowledgeable and professional with his craft. He is very familiar with the Galveston Bay Area and can get you on anything you’re looking for. Professional grade equipment and tackle. It was a blast fishing with him and will definitely be making another trip in the near future.

My wife, son and I had the best time on a fishing trip in Galveston with Captain Shannon! The weather was perfect, and the water was calm. We reeled in five fish and my son almost realed in a massive trout. Shannon helped him get his first catch ever.

Marginal weather forecasted for our original trip date Monday 6/19. Capt Shannon was honest and flexible enough to recommend we reschedule or cancel.  We were fortunate enough to fish with him 2 days later when the winds died down some.  We ventured about 8 miles out and drifted with bait in the water.  It wasn’t but 15 mins the first bait hit the water that we had a double hook up.  It was chaotic (as it should have been) which added to the excitement.  Capt Shannon choreographed it expertly and we landed 2 good sized spinner sharks. It was non stop action afterwards.  Total 9 big sharks (8 spinner and 1 black tip).  Largest estimated at 7 feet. We even had to deal with a pesky pod of dolphins terrorizing our baits and still managed to wear ourselves out into submission. Capt Shannon, my boys and I had a great trip!!!  Thank you!!

6 of us went out in this morning, and while the fishing was a little slow due to the intense heat lately, we had a great time. We got to fish in some cool spots, and caught a variety of fish including flounder, trout, catfish, redfish, lady fish and a few others.  Captain Shannon made sure that as soon as one spot went dry, we moved to the next, wasting no time. Captain Shannon was alert the entire time, quickly replacing bait on the hook as soon as it was gone. He had great energy and was enjoyable to be around. I would definitely recommend his services when booking a trip!
