We had a great full day trip, so we book another day hoping for a marlin and that what we got.  The captain and crew are everything that you would want in a charter.  Wish we had more time for another day.  We will definitely be back and we will be booking with the Black Marlin, Captain Manuel and his crew.  They certainly know Cabo and its waters. Two days in a row with the only flags in the marina!  Awesome.  Thanks again for two great days fishing Cabo. We will be back.

An incredible full day trip with my father in law and myself! Manuel and Junior were incredible… Very kind, gracious and professional. Manuel Jr ran all of the fishing gear while his dad drove the boat and this young man was great… His dad should be very proud! My father in-law had been on fishing trips before and never caught a thing. We were able to catch 10 dorado (mahi) and 3 nice yellow fin in addition to a few others. The crew tried hard to get us a marlin but were unable. Thank you Manuel and son for an incredible trip. I can’t recommend them highly enough and would love to go out again with them sometime!

Fished with Capt Manuel and Kevin on the Black Marlin on 7/21/23 for an 8 hr trip.  After getting to the fishing grounds, Kevin set out lines and teasers.  Kevin was great explaining how were going to fish and what to expect.  We raised two marlin and hooked one, but it got off fairly quick.  We continued trolling and hooked into another marlin and brought it to the boat.  We trolled around for a good bit.  Capt Manuel was constantly aware of the lures and changing lures to see what they wanted.  At 1030 we brought a nice mahi to the boat.  I could hear the Capt talking on the radio with the other boats trying to get a fix on the marlin.  At 1130 he spotted one on the surface and attempted to lure it with live bait, but we didn’t get a hook up.  We then got a double hook up.  The Capt maneuvered the boat to help keep the lines clear of each other while Kevin furiously worked to pull in the teasers and other lines.  We were finally able to bring in the 2 marlin to the boat.  It was amazing watching 2 marlin jumping out of the water behind the boat. This was a bucket list trip for me, and I could not have picked a better Captain!

I am an avid fisherman, and this was my first marlin trip.  I have no doubt his knowledge, skill and effort are what got us our last 2 Marlin.  I have also been on plenty of guided fishing trips to know the difference between a good and bad captain.  Capt Manuel is a GREAT Captain!  What I appreciated most was the EFFORT he put in to get us on the fish.  I watched him change tactics, lure combinations, locations and he communicated with the other charter captains to get it done for us.  He and Kevin worked constantly adjusting the lines to keep them at the proper distance and free from tangling.

If you want a great trip with a Captain that puts in the work and does not give up, you cannot go wrong with Captain Manuel on the Black Marlin.

My brother and I had a great time with Manuel and Kevin.  They were responsive to my questions before the trip, and punctual the day of.  We were lucky enough to land 6 striped marlin, 4 were in the 8-9 class, and 1 blue marlin that was 11.5 ft and 347 lbs!!

This is only the second blue marlin they’ve caught this year, so we were very lucky, but it sounds like the striped marlin are around year around. 

For our first time deep sea fishing we received very good instruction on how to bring in the fish. 

There’s definitely a little bit of luck thst goes into having such a great day, but they also caught 6 striped marlin the day before us too. 

We’ll definitely be back 😁

We booked an 8 hour trip! From the time we booked it, the communication from Manuel was AMAZING. Anytime we had a question he would answer us within a reasonable time. He explained exactly what to do to get to him & his 1st mate Kevin was waiting on us right outside the dock. They took us to the floating store to get our drinks & snacks. We ended up catching our 3 marlins within the 1st 3 hours. Then we caught 4 Mahi Mahi and a yellow fin tuna. And multiple skipper jacks! Kevin worked his butt off. Kevin was very patient and taught us what we needed to know. Manuel knew we what we caught before we even got it to the boat! I highly recommend booking with Manuel & Kevin!!
